GEIR ARNE SOLHEIM
Drums Geir started his musical carreer playing classic organ og then later keyboard and synth. Like his brother he also turned seriously into metal music when he heard Iron Maiden's "No Prayer for the Dying" in 1990, although he was a big fan of bands like Twisted Sister, Alice Cooper, Europe etc. through the eighties. However, Geir's main influence in the eighties was rocker Roy Orbison. Like Trygve he started out playing drums, but also put a lot of focus into bass-playing, which he did for 10 years until he and Trygve switched roles. Geir is also an excellent classic guitar player and a not so excellent – yet classic – rock vocalist. He's also the world's brightest mind when it comes to wave power energy generation. MARITA SUNDET
Bass Marita became a fan of classic hard rock and heavy metal music at the age of four, after listening to Meat Loaf. She didn't come from a musical family, and didn't play any instruments until she was a teenager. But even though she didn't have any musical experience, she's always been writing songs. When she met Trygve in 2005, he convinced her to try playing the bass and start singing. So she started a solo studio-project, called "Marita - Wild Cat", inspired by 80s rock and pop music. In 2009, Marita really wanted to start a real metal band, so she and Trygve decided to do something together. The band became Grimskull, a continuation of what the Solheim brothers had begun in 1989, and the conquest for the world bagan! |
TRYGVE JOHAN SOLHEIM
Vocals & Guitars Trygve began playing keyboards at the age of 5, but it wasn't until he was 10 years old and heard Iron Maiden that he really started taking an interest in music. He started out playing drums in different bands, until he moved on to bass, guitars and then vocals. His main interest was making music, and realized early on that he had to know more than one instrument to be able to create a complete song on his own, and realize all his musical visions. Trygve (also known as TJ Cobra) has also been the lead singer of Infernal Manes and Memorized Dreams. |
