I'm following a designer named Christian Benner on instagram @christianbenner. I love all the band t-shirt re-makes he's doing, and all the awesome leather jackets he's makin', but most of all I love all his words of wisdom about life. Here's a couple "life lessons" and some cool pictures of his work. Check out www.christianbennercustom.com for more awesomeness!
"Over the past few years I've learned one of the most important life lessons you need to know. It is becoming content with yourself, and who you are as a human being. A lot of people might look at myself and others covered in tattoos, or dressed in a certain way and judge us right away. Well I have a job, I love waking up everyday, so they can take that stereo type and rethink it. Being content with yourself is the greatest gift you can give to yourself. Putting yourself first is the most important , and then happiness will follow. We are all human beings with feelings, and we are allowed to express ourselves in any way we want. In conclusion, don't ever be afraid to show who you really are, trust me, you will make this world a better place."
"Inspiration to me is freedom, individuality, being content. For many years of my life I never knew who I was, until one day I finally woke up and took all of the energy I had inside and started creating these pieces. what I do is a form of a tribute to giving a new life to something, similar to what I did for myself. There are many of those who are out there that are struggling with who they are. It's a tough world we live in, and society puts a lot of pressure on us, but you need to build up the courage and say fuck it, I am Who I am, and I'm going to have an impact in this world. You don't need to conquer the world itself, but knowing you were walking around and you are allowing yourself to be true, is the most rewarding feeling in the world. I tell everyone I meet, and I will continue to, you can be anything you want to be, just don't ever give up."
