TJ and I watched the movie "Rocky Balboa" yesterday, and Rocky gave one helluva pep-talk to his son. I wrote it down, because I thought it was really good, and I wanted to share it with you guys:
"The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place, and I don't care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me or nobody is gonna hit you as hard as life! But it ain't about how hard you hit, it's about how hard you can get hit and keep movin' forward. How much can you take and keep movin' forward. That's how winnin' is done!
If you know what you're worth, get what you're worth, but you gotta be willin' to take the hits and not pointin' fingers, sayin' you ain't where you wanna be because of him or her or anybody! Cowards do that, and that ain't you! But until you start believin' in yourself, you ain't gonna have a life."
I don't know about you, but I'm done makin' excuses and being sorry for what I do and who I am. I'm never gonna be anybody else. I am me. Lookin' at what other people got and do gives me nothing. It could have been me, but I choosed not to. I like fashion, I like music, I like movies, and I love being lazy and spending all my time with TJ. He's the best, my one and only, and as long as he loves me, I don't care if the world ends tomorrow. He's all I need, because he lets me be me <3
Or in the words of Steve Martin:
My name's Marita. I'm a musician and songwriter from Norway. I'm interested in music, books, movies, clothes and more.
