You've probably noticed that I got a lot of accessories. I just can't help myself. I love everything bling! I also got a shoebox with a fish hook box where I keep my small earrings, and my big statement necklaces. And I got some animal print boxes in the bathroom with some bracelets and earrings that can't hang on the rack.
Just a Cubus-announcement: We got great jeans till 199,- and 299,-, and 3 for 2 on everything from L'Oréal. Come and buy! :) Anyway, here's today's outfit:
I'd love to own a chihuahua someday. They are soooo cute! But expensive, so I better start saving, and convince TJ (he's not so keen on the "owning-a-dog"-part).
This picture was taken when I was blogging at www.marita89.blogg.no. I have changed a lot over the past couple of years. I've taken off my braces, I've had surgery, I let my hair grow long, no more bangs! I have my natural hair color now. And I know a lot more about make-up today. I'm a lean, mean fashion machine ;)
Our first relationship with Kiss, growing up in the 80's, was hearing "Crazy, Crazy Nights" on tv and radio. I guess we liked it, but not much more than other hits at the time. The second time was a few years later, when our cousin introduced it to us. We didn't like it very much at the time, because we were much more into metal, and Kiss wasn't heavy enough for us.
So it wasn't until 1994, when we bought their album "Revenge" that we got our eyes and ears open for their music. The music on that album was very heavy, but still had a rock 'n' roll edge, cool drumming and a great deal of humour. So then I copied every album Kiss had released from my cousin, listened to it day and night, and instantly became a huge fan. I had always been a retroholic, fascinated by the sound, feel and fashions of decades long gone. And it was extremely exciting getting into Kiss, 'cause they had one of the coolest images I had ever seen. The make-up was awesome! I thought it was very mysterious, and I loved the fact that they had been hiding their true identities for the first 10 years of their carreers. They were like real-life superheroes! But I would never have become a fan if it hadn't been for their music. Most of their hits were happy rock 'n' roll songs that didn't really appeal to me back then (now I love it all), but I soon discovered that they had some really cool HEAVY songs in their archive too. My personal favorite was "God Of Thunder" sung by Gene Simmons. It was like a perfect match between his wicked image, the voice, the lyrics and the song. And song itself was just the kind of old school metal that I liked, with a great chorus. Cheers, TJ Sign Of The Devil is a new song from Grimskull, recorded 2011. The song was based on a riff written by Marita. It had a very evil and majestic feel, so we decided to aim for a very dark sort of song. One that would remind you of vintage horror movies and childhood nightmares.
The lyrics follows the psychological theme of the "Kill With Rage" sessions. It looks into every person's natural ability to act egotistical and evil, when we know we can gain something from it and get away with it. And the sometime unexplainable wickedness that suddenly can appear in a person. One that seems to appear from nothing, like he/she is posessed by something or someone. Here's three outfits that I wore when my folks visited, but that I didn't get around to take a picture of:
I got this phone some months ago. I don't like it. I haven't figured out half of the functions yet, and I don't need half of them either. I just need a phone that I can text and call people with, and take a picture every now and then. And I can't stand touch screen, so thank God for the keyboard. But I have to use the touch very often, and then I end up eveywhere else than I should be. Grrr!!! And I don't get to send all the text messages either because of the signal, and I think somethings on, that's spending some money. I've been about to smash it many times already, I just can't stand that phone! :(
